Knitting A NeckWarmer

To all that have watched my video tutorial on You Tube, which was in Greek, here are the engish instructions:
Today we are going to work on something very simple but still unique.
A neck warmer on our knitting machine.
We will need soft acrylic yarn, needle, scissors. We take the measurements of the neck. If the neck is 15cm high, we will knit 30cm.
1) Switch the machine into tube.
2) Cast on the yarn on the machine by making a loop on the needle with number one. Then behind the needle with number 2, and then in the needle with number 3. We continue with this format untill we reach the end that is 44.  3) We continue now going round untill we reach our goal which is 30cm.
4) Cast off the yarn.
5) Fall into half. Now we have done the neckwarmer which measures 15cm.
6) Finish off with crochet.

About the Round Nose Plier and a Photo of a Ring

Is one of the most important tool on jewellery making. At the bottom of the blog, there is a picture of a pendant that I have made. The embelishement that have been made on that certain bead was made by this plier. Hope to post a video tutorial by today afternoon on

"HOW TO MAKE A NICE N EASY RING".

It is a wonderful spring day today. Birds are singing in my garden and makes me feel that I am blessed, because I live in a very small island, in the Meditteranean Sea, where Sun keeps us warm during the day. And in Summer we have the sea that cool us down. We can travel easily from the one destination to the other in 20 minutes time. I live in a country side where nature makes me feel really free. I have a wonderful and relaxing view from my kitchen's window of a hill full of trees, and the best place is the patio on the front side where I can watch my flowers growing.

Sorry, suddenly I caught my self talking about the place where I live.
Ok, Here we are back again. The RING. I will call it.

"HOPE".

At the end of the page a photo of this ring called "A ring for this spring" is posted. Tomorrow you can watch a video-tutorial!!

2. Round Nose
3. Cutter
4. Flat Nose with Plastic Jaws
5. Chain Nose
6. Crimping Tool

Pliers How To

Let's talk today about the main things that we need for our first steps on jewellery. For the basics and first steps we will need our pliers, a set of 5 or 6 could be fine. We call them TOOLS. So the first that we will need is:
1. Cutter.
2. Flat Nose
3. Chain Nose
4. Round Nose
5. Flat Nose with plastic jaws
6. Crimping Tool
We need the cutter for cutting our beading wire or any other material that we will use for stringing. Or later to cut our wire for making some gorgious rings. We need the flat nose for many purposes and for many projects. We will talk about it in details. But we usually use this kind of plier for holding in position our wire. We use it also for opening up the chain loops. Round Nose Plier, is one of my favourite. I love the loops that can be made with it. We can make nice and even spirals. We can embelish our rings or pendants with wire using this plier. Flat Nose with plastic jews keeps the wire clean of scrutshes. Crimping Tool is also one of my favourite because by using this, you can make your crimp beads look like a spacer and not like a smashed metal. I use this tool for putting into place the crimp beads covers.
Photoes with a full set of plier and their name are being posted.

Photoes

These photoes that have been posted are my very first projects since.......

Learn By Me. Means Enjoy Learning because is really Fun!!!

Today is the beginning of blogging. Let's have fun together, by learning, by watching some tutorials, by making some jewellery... Making jewellery is really fun. You use your creativity, your ability, you can enjoy listening to your favourite music while you are working on a new  project. It is not boring at all. We will start together by watching some videos for those that have never even touched a plier before and we will continue up to advanced. We will work with some simple stringing then we will continue step by step to some more difficult things. I have already worked for three years in my home country's government school classes. I had more than ten ladies in each class. We had fun together. So let's hope that I know how to spread well my knowledge to others. Let's hope that we will have a really good time together also. Let's say Yes, we will have a joyful time, Yes, we will learn, Yes, we will spend time for making our new handmade jewellery. Today is the day to start making my own projects, to wear them and be proud, to wear them and be ready to shout to my best friend... Do you like it? I made it. Let's join in the club of  " LEARN BY ME".
